Well, we are definitely going to go ahead with the IVF. I called my RE this week to get some info. I got it in the mail today. I'm all read up and am ready to take the plunge. I'll give my RE a call next week to schedule a consult for me and DH. We should know a timeline after that.
I'm pretty nervous but excited at the same time. I'm a little bit concerned that it won't work the first time because it states in their literature that they will only put in one embie the first time if you are less that 36. :( My sister is 29 and had two embies put back and neither of them stuck! I feel like my chances of it working the first time and pretty slim. Anyway, we'll have to wait and see.
I'm lucky, I guess. At least it won't cost as much here in Australia as it did my sister in the US. She paid $25,000US for a fresh cycle. Mine will probably be less than $2,500AUD. I guess we can afford it if the first one doesn't take anyway. I just don't love waiting and waiting for something positive to happen! I just want to be pregnant damnit! *sigh* Let's hope I am by the end of next month!
