Drugs

Drugs, drugs and more drugs. That's what it's going to be about for the next 8 weeks. Probably longer. I start the pill tonight. It's the first thing I have to take during this IVF cycle. I'll be on it for about three weeks before adding a different drug, in which I have to inject for about a week. Then I'll quit them and start on a different drug in which I'll have to inject for like 10 days...then...then...then....Well, I haven't gotten my list from my RE yet, but that's what it sounded like to me over the phone today.

The nurse called me up to say that my blood results came back. My "levels are fine and I've booked you onto the IVF cycle". Which is code for, YOU'RE NOT PREGNANT...lol Anyway, she said she'd send me a flowchart in the mail so I don't get confused on what drug to take and when...and when I have to get ultrasounds....and when I have to get blood tests....and when I have to come in to get my eggs retrieved...etc etc etc. Looks like I'm going to be busy! Good thing I've had lots of practice prickin' myself with needles for my other cycles on fertility drugs that didn't pan out. *takes a big breath*...here we goooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

P.S. - I stopped taking VITEX after 4 days because I read it can counteract the affects of fertility drugs...which kinda defeats the purpose if we're trying to grow a ton of eggs for the retreival!
